The bemused driver of this lorry was using Prospect Hill as an alternative to Victoria Road, in order to reach Bath Road. Just as Western Street is used as a ‘short cut’ to Sainsbury’s in the town centre.
Narrow road signs have been promised by the Council as one part of the review of roads and parking. The signs are promised for: Eastcott Hill/Warwick Road Junction; Eastcott Hill/Norths Street Junction and Victoria Road/Cross Street Junction. The signs will be ‘advisory’ and will not specify any width. This will allow removal vans, brewers’ drays, etc to legally access the area.
