Alleyways and fly-tipping meeting 3 August – result

A well-attended meeting at the Beehive last night agreed a range of proposals for action in partnership with Swindon Borough Council to clear alleyways in the Back Garden. The key decision was to arrange regular clean up sessions around the Back Garden on Saturday mornings with a post-cleaning get-together with food. The first event is likely to be early September and will deal with the Cross Street back alley, with lunchtime drinks and food in the Beehive.

A full list of decisions will follow. But there is a map and an aerial picture here if you want to note problems or better still good examples of well maintained alleyways.

In the meantime thank you to all those who turned up yesterday and to the neighbourhood Police Team, Richard Fisher – Swindon Council and representatives of the local Labour and Liberal parties.
