Savernake Hall meeting Thursday 23 February

There will be an open meeting to discuss the Council’s plans for Savernake Street Hall on Thursday 23 February, starting at 18:00 hrs.

The Council are intending to transfer management of the hall to the Swindon Tamil Association from 1 April 2012. If you have any questions or objections you should contact Mark Feeny, Swindon Borough Council, 01793 466503 mbfeeny@swindon.gov.uk.

Meet the Council – parking changes

Councillors and Council Officials will be at Savernake Street Community Hall from 10:00-13:00 on Saturday 18 February. This is a chance to ask for any further changes or to ask for parts of the scheme to revert to the old one.

Residents’ parking changes not done

Back Garden is pressing the Council to finish the work on Cross Street, Edmund Street, Prospect Hill, Swindon Road and Rolleston Street before holding a meeting with residents to discuss how the changes have gone.

We hope that everyone had a great Christmas and New Year. Things have been hectic in the Back Garden. We had a successful Christmas Party at the Castle (thank you Tina) and the Games Evening will now be led by experienced gamer Tony Simons and feature new games most Wednesdays at the Beehive. Outdoors, we will have a litter pick in late January and we will soon announce the date for the planting of what we hope will be the first of several replacement trees in the area (thanks Mo Shafie and Martin Hambidge, Swindon Council).
